Y-strainers are designed to reduce downtime and maintenance.
In steam and condensate systems, damage can be caused by debris such as jointing compounds, scale, rust, and other debris within the pipeline. Strainers collect these solids in flowing liquids or gases. They protect pipe and equipment from harmful effects. This reduces downtime and maintenance. All strainers should be fitted upstream of every steam trap, flowmeter or control valve.
Supplied as standard with 0.8mm Perforated Stainless Steel Screen
