These 15mm Tracpipe BSP Male Gas pipe Fittings are designed to connect to 15mm Tracpipe flexible gas pipe as well as connect to traditional gas pipe fittings in iron, malleable,steel, copper etc. No tape or jointing compounds are needed on the fitting and the fittings require no special tools or heat to form a gas safe joint. Silicone tape is used however to ensure there is no corrosion the stainless steel pipe. The fittings are suitable for natural gas, propane or butane up to a working pressures of 75mbar.

The fittings are manufactured in brass and they are BS 7838 Approved, Tested by Advantica and BSI Kitemarked, they conform to all Gas Industry Standards in the U.K.

Tracpipe autoflare fittings are very easy to use. They have self-flaring and self-piloting joint seals that can be tightened with a spanner.
When tightened to the correct torque they form safe, gas-tight joints and connections.

AutoFlare fittinga use a back nut and 2 split rings.
Slide the nut back over the pipe end.
The two split rings should be lined up with the first ridge of the pipe.
Slide the nut forward to trap the split ringsin place.
Align the AutoFlare fitting with the back nut and hand tighten the threads, then use an appropriate sized spanner to fully tighten the fitting.
Similar torque should be applied to that used for a flared pipe joint.
