TracPipe silicone tape should be used to protect the joint, no bare pipe should be left exposed.
To prevent corrosion, due care must be taken to ensure no section of the bare pipe is visible. Wrap the silicone around the pipe after pressure testing.
All parts of any exposed pipe behind the fitting nut should be fully wrapped with silicone tape.
