Inventory Management Services
In addition to supplying an unrivalled range of engineering products from the world's leading manufacturers, C & G can also provide a comprehensive inventory management service to clients. Encompassing all aspects of onsite stock control, this service enables client organisations to focus on core activities safe in the knowledge that engineering stock management is being handled by our expert team.
Just In Time Stock Replenishment
We support customers who use Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing systems with a range of Kanban services designed to lower administration and inventory costs.
Kitting
Many customers benefit from our kitting service. We put together a kit of products made up to your specification and deliver in one shipment as and when required. We recently worked closely with a house builder who was plumbing out 150 new houses and required 150 first; second and third fix packs for each house. We made up the kits at an agreed fixed price and delivered each kit to site when required by the plumbers. Saving time, money, wastage and thereby reducing costs.
Gasket Cutting
The recent addition of a Click Press in our engineering department has provided us with the capacity to cut standard flange gaskets or tailor make gaskets to customer's exact specifications using high quality cutting tools. Typical materials include Compressed Jointing Fibre, Graphite, PTFE, Cork, & Rubber produced by major manufacturers such as Novus, Econosto, Walker, Klinger & Gore.
Training
Introductory courses are customer-specific and ideal for those customers wishing to learn about new products and technologies or just 'brush up' their knowledge base. With the assistance of major manufacturers, we provide courses and seminars that offer general product overviews, and basic hands-on training. In-depth courses can also be arranged to cover the selection, installation & maintenance of specific products such as pumps, motors & mechanical seals and products used in applications that utilise or process steam, water, oil, air and gas.
