Booster pumps can transport different types of media, but primarily those listed here are used for the boosting and pressurisation of domestic and commercial cold water supply in particular automatic supply of water whilst maintaining constant system pressure.
Booster pumps are generally used in water systems or applications that have a low level of contaminants. They are installed in a variety of commercial, civil, and domestic applications and are used in a range of industries.
It is not possible to install a pump directly to the incoming main supply in the UK due to water bye-laws. Pumps are designed to 'push' water and if the existing water supply is already inadequate the pump will be starved of water, operating efficiently and is liable to fail.
